got a point at least

Stole a point. Looked like stale :clown: :poop: most of the night. Sammy's 1st period kept it a game. They need to find a young center and trade Eller for a bag of peanuts, if anyone will take the deal.

This game was actually on my DVr when I got home so I watched it late. I was curious as to what yuns thought. Not much going on the boards tonight
I do think Sammy had a good 1st but he’s so out of control so can’t say I believe in him. He definitely makes some great acrobatic saves but he's then hopeless on where the puck or play goes and he ends up out of position. He makes some spectacular saves but then fails to get back in the play. Cant tell if he was really good or just lucky after the initial saves
I thought the fellas played decent considering Edmonton is so much faster. I felt like it was inevitable that Oilers would score and win though
Some serious BS calls. Roughing on Orlov and the hook or whatever they called in Kuzy was BS. Fevers interference was total shit
We had our share of PP’s too. Why didn’t they call the slash when Manthas stick was cut in half. I didn’t know WTF Pang was talking about that one
Felt like the the game could have gone either way….or Edmonton could have won by 8….lots of wired bounces and missed nets
Ovi missed a wide open net late.
The good news is Backy actually looked okay healthwise and Oshie looked good and Mantha looks like he’s definitely on.
Ovi is forcing too hard to get 767.
I’m okay with one point out of this one. Edmonton just looks like the better team. So fast.

I think we need to give the Caps some credit here.
If we look at the last two nights, the Caps played Calgary while rested whereas Calgary had played the Oilers the previous evening. Though both of Calgary's games we at home, so no travel for them.
The next night the Caps played Edmonton, who hadn't played the previous evening. And the Caps were on the road and had to travel between the two venues. Yet the Caps stuck to it and tied the game at the end of regulation.
I'd say 3 out of 4 standings points is a terrific job under the circumstances. We weren't playing chopped liver here.
But let's face it: The only way the Caps can be competitive in the playoffs is if (1) one of our goalies suddenly stands on his head; and (2) if the refs are much more lenient in the playoffs in allowing "clampdown" tactics on defense.
