NHL just released the opening dates for all the teams. CAPS will raise the Stanley Cup Banner on October 3rd when they host the Boston Bruins. Can’t wait. A lot of Caps fans wanted us to play the Penguins when we raise the banner but I could care less who we play. Speaking of the Penguins, we play them the next night in their opening game. Last year they were the defending champions and they hosted us in their opener. This year we will be the defending champions when they host us in their opener. I like that phrase “ defending Stanley Cup champions.”
