Be nice if both came in the 1000th game they play together. But it won't. I'm a lifelong Caps fan, so I can still have ridiculous hopes of success....knowing they will be crushed when reality sinks in.
Speaking of reality....Calgary is 13-1-1 in their last 15 games and have lost a total of 4 games at home (in regulation) this season.
SO they are DUE for a little ass-whomping...right?

I thought we had the best of the zone time in the first couple of periods. Not so much the 3rd.
I'm worried about TJ and Backus, though I did see Oshie plant a hit about 2 minutes after I posted that he seemed to be avoiding contact I wonder how bad his noggin is? Concussions can be ongoing, even though the initial symptoms may subside.
Our boys rallied. Good to see.

There was only one "he should remain nameless" that Ovi WAS chasing in goals ;D
And not that I disagree about our weak PP, but....
The Caps PP has "been on fire recently"...I heard one of the radio announcers touting that fact ::) . I was like Huh? I guess we HAVE actually scored PP goals in all of the last four straight games, but I was surprised when they were touting the PP as dangerous.
Previous 4 games PP numbers:
2/2 vs Seattle, 1/6 vs Carolina, 1/3 vs Toronto, 1/3 vs Philly. That's 5 PP goals in 4 games and .357 percentage, and I that's a trend in the right direction, but you can really look at stats in a small sample. Caps are still 7th from the league bottom in PP% for the year currently.
