Funny no one here has mentioned that Ovechkin's goal tonight ties him for the all-time record for career PP goals.
Obviously he's going to blow that record out of the water before he's through.
Also surprised to see Backstrom logging pretty heavy minutes his first game back - a byproduct of Kuznetsov's absence, of course. It would be only natural for him to lose steam in the 3rd.

Other then his shootout goal, Oshie hasn't done much of anything since getting back. McMichael also been invisible lately. Couple other guys as well..

There was some stink raised about this a couple years ago, it's a loophole in the challenge rule. A coach can ask the refs if they think that a play should be reviewed without officially asking for a review. It depends on wether or not the coach is normally an ass and the mood the refs are in.

Ovi now leading the entire NHL in points...21G, 25A in 29 games. Not too shabby for an old man.
What surprises me is I was worried mostly about GT and D going into this year based on the opening roster and losing our most defensive D men in Charra and... (the tall horse looking dude I can never remember his name). Our team D has actually been pretty decent.
We have multiple guys with double digit +/-, including Ovi at +19, Jensen +19, Orlov +18, Kuzy +15, Wilson +15, Eller +10. Kuzy is a +15 and Eller is a +10?
And this with a very injury-ladened roster.
