When there is a delayed penalty like that, why do they pull the goalie and add an extra person on the ice? Just like they do near the end of game where a losing team would do the same thing.
I know the play stops after the opposing team touches the puck.

To get an extra attacker. They could still screw up and pass it into their own net or something, but I've never seen it happen. (yet) :smirk:

start the PP right away, nothing to lose because the whistle blows as soon as the other team touches it

Well :poop: Detroit played a hell of a game. We played pretty good. Couldn't beat Greiss. Points in the 1st 7 games! As Alta said, could be worse.. See ya Friday!

Not being able to hold a lead through the 3rd is not great. Considering what our d corps outlook was beginning the season, I guess we should not be surprised.
Although I have been happy with both Fever and the Reimer on D. Both have played well I think.

Two things have to be fixed and I would hope the coaching staff would be brave enough to shake things up.
Powerplay - everybody in the whole league knows what we do and how to stop it. Yes, Ovi is incredible enough to beat them sometimes, but we have to find new schemes to mix it up. Having Ovi down low on the doorstep is one alternative - let's experiment with some more.
OT - we have to mix up the personnel. Dowd should be taking the faceoffs and he is good enough to stay out there. Ovi is great, but at this point, he is not a great all- around OT player. How about some tenacious guys like Sheary? I bet a threesome of Sheary, Dowd and Kuzy (or Oshie) would be great!
