Yep, yep. Caps are notorious for playing down to the opposition. Plus....they are kind of due for a stinker. I know they threw one a few games back, but they are 8-1-1 in their last 10. Problem with that is Islanders are 9-0-1 in their last 10. Bigger problem is Caps play the Isles tomorrow night - that's a tough back to back in two different cities for an aging team. Caps need to win tonight and tomorrow just to TIE the Isles. Ovie needs to wake up and blow past Espisito with two tonight, and maybe add two more Tomorrow. Islanders have NOT lost a game at home in regulation this season.
Geez the Canes have come on and snuck past Tampa by a point for 1st in the Central (Tampa does have 1 game in hand)
But I digress...

Ovi sure schooled Dahlin. He might be the worst defensive defenceman in the league. One of many over rated players on this Sabres team.

Tough game to watch. I don't think Buffalo could beat an AHL team right now.
I've never seen such a pathetic 3 on 1. Couldn't even get a shot attempt and it's not like we made a great defensive play. They just messed it up.

That ref should be embarrassed for making that call he was only a few feet away watching the play. I can understand missing a call because he didn't see it but he can't call a penalty that just isn't there. Happens too often.

Good on Vitek. About time...thought he shoulda coulda woulda earlier but his team mates apparently didn't want to help him previously.
Good game all around.
Scoring from lower lines, scoring from Ovie, Backy, and Kuzy so hopefully Kuz gets going.
Easy to look good against an AHL practice squad...not saying that's what Sabres are, but definitely how they are struggling right now.

I mentioned the possibility of a shutout earlier in the thread. Right from the start of the game it didn't look like the Sabres could compete.
Usually a 6-0 game is just a bad game game but this is 11 losses in a row.
The Sabres are a bad team and didn't get any breaks. Even late in the game when Hall got called for a penalty, what a weak call. Why would the ref call that penalty at that time of the game in a blowout?
BTW I'm not a Sabres fan, in fact I dislike all of their top guys like Eichel, Hall, Skinner and Dahlin. I think all of them are over rated. The only guy I like is Ristolainen because he is a physical player.
