Pilly needs 2 points to pass the Caps for the final wildcard spot. The Caps have the first tie breaker against Pilly.


Malenstyn did travel to Pilly with the team. No word yet if he’s available tonight. The team did not have a morning skate today.

Wasn't meaningless unless they don't want the #1 seed in their division. Hopefully Maly is back, but yea we don't have a very good track record of games after concussion protocol.

Very well played game, and Lindy/Caps only team to shut out Boston all year...and twice.  Glad the game was meaningless to Boston, but Caps did outplay them.  Should have been a blowout if not for Swayman.
Malenstyn going down is gonna hurt.  He doesn't put up many points, but he is the first guy in and I think drives that line.  No offense to Dowd, but he aint got the wheels and hits Malenstyn does.
I don't expect him to play tonight, but we shall see.
