I prefer Sheary on the Kuzy/Ovi line - he hustles and has good wheels. Either that or Big Willy to create space, plus crash the net and big body in front.
Mantha and Wilson together certainly make Eller seem like an NHL center but that leaves Mojo/Backy/Sheary as kind of a weak line IMO....unless they are planning on them getting the #1 D-duty.
Not knocking Larrsson, but I'd just as soon see Mcmike get that spot.....although...I know it's more of a character line. That and we are prone to having a Nordic fella on at least three lines :P
This one should be a real tester. Who knows though...Denver has mostly nothing to really play for....except that whole BEST in the League record - Nobody in the west can catch them for best in the West....and the ten in a row.
I'm skeered this might not be the best night to remember for the Caps. But hell, let's find out.

Good 20 minutes! Seems like every game someone beats our goalie from the angle. Good shot though, but be nice to have a full game w/o one like that getting in..

Man, what a game. Haven’t seen much of the Avs, but I can see why they’ve won 9 in a row and have the best record. They look big, strong, fast and talented. Besides that, they got nothing!

We can claim third in the Metro and get NYR instead of FLA. All we have to do is beat the Avs. VGK, Arizona, Islanders and NYR on the road, and the Isles and Toronto at home. Rrrrright.
Pitt has the Bruins, Oilers and CBJ and home and Philly and Detroit on the road.

Caps are now 1 point behind the Hens with 1 game in hand. Hens have four days off this week, after the Caps play Vegas on Wednesday they will be even.

Wow. Just Wow. Watched this one about 2 hours late. Now that was a hockey game. Caps flat out just out played the best team in hockey
BS goal was the only downer the whole game. The puck was loose so it’s sketchy but even then WTF about GT interference. The guy pushed his leg out from under him

Sheary- that frigging guy is mr hustle and he damn well makes any line better.
Kuzy is looking like Kuzy again- fastest fucking glider I think I’ve ever seen. Not sure how he picks up speed just gliding.

Thing is, the Caps having gotten into the playoffs due to the Isles' loss the previous evening, this could have been an easy game to say "whatever." But the team manned up and played what was certainly one of their best games of the season. Say what you will about the team's shortcomings, and they do have them -- there really is some pride and purpose to their play.
And you will notice that Colorado, as good a team as there is in the league, makes the same mistakes as the Caps are excoriated for making. NOBODY touched Ovie on the PP goal - he just stood alongside the net and no one ever paid attention to him. And MoJo's goal followed directly from one of those misguided defensive flings into the middle of the ice from the corner. The misplays that we complain about the Caps making-- EVERYBODY makes them.
