I stated in another thread that I thought LaPierre would be sent back to Junior hockey before "10 games", when the club would need to commit to him in the NHL for the entire season and his service counts as the first year of his entry-level contract.  (At least, that's the way I understand the rule for under-20 players.)  What I DON'T know is if "10 games" refers to the number of games he is on the roster or the number of games he dresses for.  This limited exposure is what I understand to be the rule for taking a look at under-20 players without committing them to the NHL.  If anyone has more authoritative information on this rule, please speak up.  If the rule is "on the roster," then I'd presume LaPierre has been relegated to Juniors.  Since he's dressed for only 6 games, though, according to his stat line, if the rule is "number of games dressed" then he might be scratched and still have some available time.
