year ago I saw a mountain lion out by Lost River, this when both VA and WVA adamantly denied the possibility. Both states have since said there may a couple cats out there, which to me means a breeding population

Here's an old wives remedy for ya : Cut a raw onion in half, (no need to peel it) and put it by your bed overnight.
Cutting across the grain to allow the most juices to absorb your aliment.

Did I ever tell you my mountain Lion encounter in WV? Happened in `85. Same thing. I reported to the Park Ranger Station in Petersburg and the ranger told me I was delusional and didn't know what I was talking about. I know the 9-foot long cat that charged me was a mountain lion. It got within 15 feet of me and I saw it clearly. No other cat gets that large anyhow. I found a website about 10 years ago that listed over 4000 mountain lion encounters since the 80's in the Appalachian, Allegheny mountain, Monongahela forest areas. They are breeding all over the east coast no matter how much they deny it. A friend of mine in Germantown saw one in his back yard.
