the whole thing has gotten beyond stupid. In previous cars putting a full load of fuel in is what dictated the length of pit stops. They move to spindle mount wheels, because they are so popular in stock automobiles, shortens the time needed to change tires and to make up for that they restrict the fuel flow from the cans so refueling takes longer.
I get going to overhead cam engines, push rod motors are going the way of the dinosaurs. But going to a transaxle is stupid. And based on what I saw in L.A, those things won’t hold up at short tracks and road courses where they are constantly shifting and under full load.
I still think this heat racing is efing stoopid

there was a 2 1/2 week break for Olympics, instead we got an all star game, some make up games from the flu, and two breaks. I don’t think this counts as the bye week because the team is still practicing.

If Caps play the remainder of the season with a 40% winning percentage and Detroit wins @ 75% :lol: ,[size=78%] [/size]then they will be virtually tied for the last WC spot. Columbus is only 1 pt behind Detroit, so same goes for them.
I don't expect either will happen. I could see the Caps coasting and playing around .500, but they'd have to have an awful collapse and Detroit/Columbus would have to play better than any team so far this season to catch them.
I'd like to see the Caps end up in 3rd (or 2nd) place so they don't have to face the top teams 1st. Caps trail the Rags by 4pts for 3rd in Metro
Not that it's really going to matter come May.
