If Sammy stuck to doing his job, ie being a goalie, it wouldn't have mattered if Schultz gave it up or not. He would have been in position to defend his net. He wasn't. He was tring to be a smart arse.

I'm not wrong. I watched the play several times. Sammy stopped the puck for Schultz. But he took a poor angle.
Maybe they weren't on the same page. But Schultz did have position and he gave it up.

And what do you think a goaltenders job is? Part of his job is playing the puck for his defensemen.
I know Sammy isn't the best at it but his defensemen have to help out more than that.
