     Lol ok

I know what town you live in. Pretend for a minute that town grew in size by about %400 in the last 20 years, plus it's in the suburbs of the national capital with ALL the political bullshit that comes with it. Would you stay? Or look for someplace better?

They sat back for the last 8 minutes of the third and just dumped the puck in and ran to the bench.  They played not to lose and got what they deserved.  Carlson, of course, was his usual shitty self on the tying goal.  That they would lose after that was like predicting sunrise.

The Caps were doing this with 10:00 to go. Far too long to playing that way post season.

Caps looked like the better team in G2, the zebras had a different opinion

Game 3 gonna be interesting.. Giving up a late lead (then losing) could be the mind fuck we've feared all season.  I haven't paid much attention to the matchups, but whoever they have against our top line has erased Ovi and Nicky. Mantha has that overpaid 4th liner look.. Need to figure it out, quick! Top 6 + Carlson = invisible..  :-\

Not sure how long we survive relying on the 4th line for the offense. (and our top line for defense)

I'd be surprised if any of the black aces crack the lineup unless someone (ahem...Eller) gets hurt.  Pretty common for teams to do this because they can.
If Eller is out....we are in deeper shit.  He doesn't get a lot of respect on these boards, but he does a lot for this team that doesn't always get noticed.  If he is out then Backy becomes your shut down guy - or your 4th line is going to get top line minutes to match up with Bostons top line guys.  Either way, it hurts everyone else's line when Eller is out.

Not knocking Anderson, he has played well enough, but he has glaring holes and I don't see us advancing with him in net.  We already had these questions with any of our goalies going in, but I really don't think anyone expected to ride a former retired 40 year old taxi squad/practice goalie into playoff promise land.

Samsonov seriously fucked his team this year with his "antics".  He was supposed to be the #1 guy and at least the near future of this team and all he has done this year is show he can't be relied on, and that's pretty much the opposite of you need from a goalie.

And For Fuck's Sake....Hathy gets not one but TWO goals in a playoff game and you don't win it?  Where the hell were the stars of this team?  :raised-eyebrow:

looks like management is anticipating Sammy and Kuzy to play within the next 2 games

if it were me, I’d wait til next round for Sammy to prove something. I think Anderson played well so far, that first goal last night should’ve been goalie interference

Getting hemmed in their own zone?  :)

Yea, I don't see McMichael getting in the lineup unless someone else (+ Eller) gets hurt.. Kuzy has to play tomorrow, imo. Either way, the "aces" didn't even make the trip to Boston, per Lavi..

i feel your frustration  For sure.

I think you're doing Anderson a little bit of a disservice there though.   He's certainly NOT been any worse than our top two have been.   VV got hurt, but Sammy is just a stupid little fuc and the sooner he goes crying back to his mothers bosom the better, imho.    >:(   Stupid little fuck.

All our goalies have issues.  None of them seem to able to stay in their paint let alone their nets.

I would have Anderson in goal over Sammy any day, just because he has that experience.   the Bruins ran him at least three times last game and he didn't bat an eyelid.   He knows the score.

The Caps were doing this with 10:00 to go. Far too long to playing that way post season.

Ordinarily I'd agree, but with Eller out, the Caps were down to Backstrom, Dowd, and whatever at center and LaViolette was mixing lines like a chef who doesn't have all the ingredients he needs to make dinner.  Of course they were just trying to hang on -- they were in duck soup and were trying to steal away with another win.

At this point there can be no expectation of playoff success from this team.  They just don't have the horses left at this point to do it.  Sucks, but that's the way things go.  If the only thing that counts is success at a particular time of year rather than throughout the season, the team -- the entire team -- has to be ready to go at that particular time.

I've got to believe that a hockey lifer like LaViolette is looking rather evil-eyed at Kuzy and Samsonov right now.  They appear to be two peas in a pod, and I bet that it is a pod that Lavi is none to happy to have infesting his garden.  This franchise could be facing a VERRRRRRY interesting summer.

I wonder what Ovie thinks of all this.  I'm sure he has a soft spot for his Russian teammates, but when they let the franchise down like this when the playoffs are around the corner, with his career heading into the end stages and chances for further titles narrowing, he has to feel conflicted.

Carl Haglin is about to skate in his 139th playoff game which leads the NHL?
I guess we are to read this as... leads the NHL for a player starting in 2012.

Ovie also has played 138 so far
Chara leads the Active Players list with 197
