I'm not engaging in the Canada vs America debate. I have my opinion. You can have yours. I don't really care what you know about the world cause there isn't a way to prove who knows more.

Back to hockey talk. Simply watch more teams other than the caps before you bash them all the time.

You were also invited to discuss your "facts" on the other side, I couldn't help but notice how you refused the invitation. That tells me you know your "facts" are suspect. But I think you already know that.

Chaos... Canada is officially listed as a constitutional monarchy. Who's the monarch?

Every player isn't going to be at their best every game. Every time this team loses a few in a row, people are outraged and half the team should be traded. Relax!!!
It's easy to say the team won't win a cup when only one out of 31 wins and act as if you're a genius and should be running the team instead of McLennan.
Start talking about what moves you'd make instead of just everyone you'd trade away.

You've said all this a couple times yet you can't seem to pull up any quotes to support your supposition. I wonder why.

edited to add...

How are we supposed to realistically talk about who we'd bring in when we, as fans, don't get the kind if information needed to make such hypothesis. That would be fiction, we do non fiction.

We will always be part of the Commonwealth but we are completely independent now as of 1982. Before that when Britain declared war that meant Canada declared war. That isn't the case now. Britain has no hold on us at all.
There are alot of commonwealth countries. Alot are probably in similar situations.
The US could have been one of those countries too except for the American Revolution.
You got your independence more than 200 years before us. Maybe we should have done that.  I think we would have gotten our asses kicked.

Hey Alta. You do have to admit that Carlson isn't your favorite player. I don't think it's a secret.

Nova Scotia at a minimum, and possibly New Brunswick were supposed to be part of it. They backed out at the last minute, or had too many of the kings troops there to do so.

But still, when a country officially calls itself a constitutional monarchy but has no monarch. That tells me they aren't %100 independent of the crown. I'm not trying to start anything over this, just pointing out why I don't see the fully independent part.
