Do we really need to be encouraging LGBTQ in youth?How about we promote "normal heterosexual youth"  Oh...wait...that would be wrong to promote normal.

It means I'm fine with LGBQT for you or him or whomever wants it.  I have no issue with consenting adults doing whatever they want in the privacy of their own spaces.  But I do not want it pushed on me or my children to accept it.  Which it constantly is.  I accept it in that YOU can have it, but you can't force me to agree that it is appropriate for my grade school children.  But then I do not think heterosexual ADULT content is appropriate for children either.
I do not want my children taught in public school about alternative genders that really do not (or should not exist)  There is male.  There is female.  Anything in between or in transition is artificial or an anomaly of abnormal birth.


Bruce Jenner was a great US olympic MALE athlete.  Now "she" is a women (an incredibly hideous one).  And that's fine for him/her if that what he/she wants.  But I don't care for it or think it should be considered "normal"


There has to be a basis for "normal" somewhere....


I don't hate or dislike gay persons (whoa, almost called them people which would be offensive), but I don't want to be one, nor do I want my children to be.  That's not gay bashing or hatred...that's cognitive choice and a parent wanting the best life possible for his children.

     At one time I was a bit homophobic. When I was growing up being gay was a bad thing. I have definitely changed my views. One of my best friends is gay and I'm fine with that.
     But I don't want it promoted or pushed on people.

Huh?  Not at all.  I like any Caps fan    (well most any....we have had some run ins with some antagonistic types)


I wouldn't object if you were gay or LBGTQ or black or Irish or Muslim, either.  I welcome alternative points of view.  Not really my subject, but then these are CAPS fan boards so I expect that is mostly what we talk about and have in common when we visit here.  Doesn't mean we can't all be different but the caps fan part of it brings us together.

My original comment originated from the Ad (which you may not have seen) that Monumental Sports is promoting "empowering LGBTQ youth"  I am open to discussing it, but I'm a bit tired of PROMOTING it all the time, and don't think promoting it in youth is right.


How about we promote "Nazi youth" for a change?  It's an alternative point of view.  and I don't mean it as a direct comparison in any way, but if we are all so liberal and open minded as to allow the inclusion of "everyone" and "every" point of view, then what's wrong with promoting the Nazi youth ideas?


I do not agree with the Nazi agenda or wish to discuss or promote them, but how is that any different than promoting any special interest group?
