Sounds fishy. I read it as team members were interacting with each other, w/o mask on? Not sure how that's supposed to work with them interacting the entire game with each other, w/o masks? But the NHL is hard up for money, so no doubt they'll be looking to recoup $ any way they can..

I would think the NHL is just like every other league where player fines get put in the player welfare/retirement fund

The Russian gang members were Ovi, Kuzy, Orlov and Samsonov.
Someone or somebody(player/staff or hotel employee) saw and blabblered that the players weren't wearing masks in their hotel room, I'm thinking.

For God's Sake Man....

they have to wear a mask in the same room, but not in the locker room or at practice or when they are shoulder to shoulder on the fucking bench seating all over each other?

WTF?   How about we apply some protocols that actually make sense (or are based on science and not hysteria)

IF a player actually comes down with COVID....WHERE do you think the mostly likely criteria for exposure and spreading would be?

And if you have FOUR players who have all tested negative for COVID (3x/week)....HOW would one give it to another in a hotel room whether they had a mask or not?

I realize the NHL is trying to save....well, the NHL, but this is ridiculous.

If the Russians get deported, looks like the replacements will be: McMichael, Fehervary, Pinho, Anderson

So the players have been added to the "NHL's Covid List"
WTF does that mean?  Are they saying that they have tested positive or are they saying they have been put on the naughty list for breaking the rules?
And what does it mean to be put on the list?  What if they all test negative today?  How long do they have to sit?

I mean stupid of them to do it, but I don't understand where 4 team members getting together privately in a hotel room increases their risk of exposure...if they are only gathering with guys they already have daily close contact with anyway, what difference does it make?
It's not like they went clubbing down at the local bar and brought a bunch of ladies back to the room (or did they) :uh-huh:  and this is all a coverup?

I guess Vitek better get warmed up....and maybe Anderson better double up on the Geritol pills and Ensure drinks - he might see some action.
Maybe we get to see Ziggy or Dr Fever then.  I'd say Ziggy is due the 1st spot available, but not sure how much Lefty/Righty will affect that decision....actually they are both Lefties as is Orlov.  TVR is a righty.  I'd say Ziggy is probably the most defensively responsible (which would be good if paired with Mr. Johnny Q Norris)

And the Canes have "postponed all games at least through Saturday" due to 5 players testing positive.  Does this mean Caps games will be postponed because 4 players are on the naughty list and who decides the protocol for postponement?

I'm started to think we are never going to get through this season no matter what protocols are in place.  It's kind of pointless without the fans anyway.  NHL is going to dick around and lose a bunch of fans

Ho Hum.

Far as I've found out, none of them tested positive. They'll be in "protocol" until the NHL deems them safe. (And as far as I know, there's no set protocol from the NHL, it's just whenever they feel enough time has passed that a negative test is actually negative.) Heard they (the 4) "could" be allowed to play tomorrow. But not sure when the alleged sin took place. Either way, don't think there will be a postponement unless one of them actually tests positive. Next man up! Play ball!!

yep, the group that has a %99.99 recovery rate from the flu needs to wear masks around each other after just sweating and spitting on each other for three hours

 ::)

Are these the same team members that gave been quarantined in this same hotel for the past four days?? That's a yes. The only time they've been permitted to leave the hotel was to go to the arena.

Does this also mean the league is going to put the coaches on "the list" every single time they pull the mask down to yell? May as well cancel the damn season if that's the case.

How about we put the NHL season on hold, and put them all in a bubble for two weeks and intentionally infect them all with Covid.  They can all get it and recover and then go on and live their lives and there will be no worry about exposing any team members or fans or anyone they may happen to have casual contact with.

99.99% survivable for likely the healthiest people on the planet...so IF the rate were constant and there are say 50 personnel per team x 31 teams...and lets be generous and call it 75 per team....is a total of 2,325 total NHL peeps x .0001 = less than 1/4 of 1 person deaths.  The players union will allow any personnel to opt out and forfeit their season (and salary) and let's see what we get.

I say this in jest, but let's get real shall we?

Ovie and Orlov has positive antibodies?  Great...they had it and recovered already and likely never knew it.  They should be cleared to play then.  :uh-huh:

Maybe we can get Biden's new tranny (the Assistant Secretary of Health for the nation) to go and watch over the bubble to make sure proper Covid 19 treatments are administered.  Oh wait, there's no treatment needed for healthy adults who contract Covid19 because 99.99% of HEALTHY people under the age of 50 who contract the disease recover without any treatment?  Well it's really just a political stunt so we don't need a real M.D. anyway.  HeShe is perfect for the position then.  AND....HeShe is from PA so sheHE can give the Hens the normal NHL preferential treatment. :raspberry:

Do they NOT have dentists in PA?

Apparently I have "Transphobia"....a made up term they use (and I mean HeShe has used) to describe anyone that does not agree with HeShe's stand on the Transgendered subject.

It is NOT okay to NOT agree with their political agenda even if it goes against your own morals and beliefs.

they had no choice, the players are not allowed to leave the hotel except for the game/practice or travel to the next opponent
