I was late getting home so watched the game on delay....I caught up about end of game so I avoid the GDT so I don't get any Goals news ahead of time.
Plus....I've found I'm a jinx to winning when I comment :'( live

That's the thinking I'm under but everyone from the chara thread when we signed him seemed to question the move. It's a good depth signing. There will be injuries and who know who we'll have healthy when the playoffs come. We might even have kempny back at that point. There will be injuries and from what I've heard and read, analysts throughout the league feel we have the deepest d core in the league at this point of the season. Come the trade deadline, trades will be hard to complete with so many teams at the top of the salary cap and the factor if your trade is with a team outside of your country, the player will be forced to quarantine if thats who you trade with.
I was referring to someone's post (Beaglefan....I think) much earlier about their being an unwritten rule about no fighting this year...which I didn't really think would be the case considering the schedule and it throwing the same teams together often and repeatedly which in my mind leads to more friction amongst the squads. Actually I thought YOU were more aligned with that thinking

My response didn't work. I simply was saying that everyone was against us signing chara and thought you were amongst that crowd. Sorry for that misunderstanding.
Chara will be solid for us and looks better tonight than he did last night. Seems like he's clearly on our first pk unit which I knew he'd be a plus towards. Especially with all the penalties we took last year(if you didn't know, we were first in the league with penalty min per game, I think around 4.37 or over)
vanecek looks great! Kinda have the feeling we're have a recreation or our young tandems of the early 2000's in the works. No one drafts better at the goalie position than the caps!
