Put me down for not giving a -single fuck- what the "rest of the world" thinks.. Don't get wrong, Covid was dead scary!!! ...4-6 months ago. Lot of "the world" don't wanna accept were late in the 3rd here.. All you hear now is how many people are "getting" it. Which isn't gonna change, ANYWHERE in the world.. (think FLU, it doesn't ever go away) BUT! We just watched a 74 year old fat man recover from it in 2 days. Everyone in his cabinet apparently got it.. How many you think are gonna die? Therapies for that shit are getting better and better by the week. Protect the elderly/vulnerable, but get out of that hole and start living again!! Life is short.. :hearts:

I know twice as much about the NHL than any of you no doubt and actually coming to the site on draft day and no one really mentioning fuck all about it was discouraging. I'm a real caps fan and have been since I was old enough to know what's what and picked a team to cheer for. I was there when big bad DC (by the way great city you come from, "that's America and you should be proud of it. :P ) was [size=78%]trashing the caps after they lost the first two games to Columbus the year they won the cup and said it wasn't over. I flew to Vegas for game 5 to see the boys hoist the cup and that being said I was also there when we got shut out 2-0 in Washington to Pittsburgh the year before and sat in disgust listening to the "fans" in the stand trash our team instead of supporting them. I've came to expect that from "our fans" at this point to be honest though. Let me know when any of you have travelled around this [/size]continent[size=78%] and have seen the boys play in 18 different venues throughout the league. I doubt any of you can say you have and I'd bet on that one. No one had a response for me sticking up for my country and saying facts about this world other than to say you don't give a fuck because that's really the only response that's reasonable when I call you out and there really isn't much to say to defend the truth. so on that note, take your cleak like atmosphere and stick it if I'm not allowed to defend someone trashing my country irrationally. Americans, primarily servicemen, were advised to not tell people they are American when traveling in Europe because of the La Belle targeted bombing. That advisory died years ago. It's got nothing to do with "being looked down upon", in fact, if you'd actually have been to Europe you'd know quite a few places to this day roll out the red carpet for Americans because of what we did over 70 years ago.
This country did not get involved in WWII right away with actual military personnel because we didn't want to get involved in yet one more of europes many wars. But maybe you could explain what the lend lease program was. That is also why we didn't get involved in WWI right away. Maybe you can also tell everyone how Canada could NOT be involved in the world wars from day one when you were direct sovereigns of the crown of England. What is the year of your faux independence? I keep forgetting. The British empire didn't break up until after WWII. That is why the international business world speaks English, not because of American hubris.
Since WWII, the U.S. has been quite often been admired and scorned ar the same time by the same people, we are somehow expected the be the policemen/first responders of the world then admonished by liberals(which today means socialists) for "consently interfering with other governments". We were very isolationist between the wars. Before WWI there is NO ONE alive today that had any influence in domestic or foriegn affairs to blame for the way the world acted over 100 years ago, which begs the question, why do liberals insist on applying today's standards to events that happened 75, 175 and 425 years ago?
What the fuck does the war of 1812(it wasn't a battle) have to do with anything??? True, we do have issues with the public education system. But they can ALL be directly traced to liberals and common core, and if we're honest, it looks like your education that is severely lacking.
You've quite obviously never met anyone in our all volunteer military. Our military has never "gone to poverty cities" to recruit. That is a libshit hollywood myth that came out of the Vietnam war. In fact, one must be highly educated, and very capable of learning to be in today's(since 1980ish) military. Low IQ democrats couldn't handle it. Which brings up another point, every single "poverty city" in this country has been run almost exclusively by democrats for the last 50 plus years. These just happen to be the same "poverty cities" where "systemic racism" has "cops targeting blacks". Odd how cops have the most interaction with the group that commits the most crime in those locations. Also odd how all this systemic racism happens in democrat run cities.
You may be able to claim you've been to more cities than me to attend games, but I garundamntee you I've traveled this country far more than you have. There isn't a U.S. city I haven't been to on the eastern seaboard, and not just to fly in for one day and a game, but to spend my vacations in. Those travels extend all the way to the Mississippi and up the front range. Though there are quite a few I refuse to go to today, and oddly enough, they are very poorly run by democrats.
yea, you definitely get all of your news about the states from cnn, without a doubt. Now, if you'd care to actually learn why you are wrong about trump you are invited to discus it on the other side since this side is supposed to be hockey discussion.
