State of the league 2020/21

it will take at least three seasons to get the schedule back to where it should be under bettmans leadership. It could be done in two if they cut the next couple seasons down to 60 games, which won't do much to bring the fans back

there are quite a few teams that will have problems making a decent ice sheet in their arena in August, and not just ones in the south either. Though it will be easier if the building isn't full of fans. There's a reason it's a winter sport

buttman "advised" the GMs to not make public comments about the meetings, appearently because he doesn't care what the fans think

The only way the NHL plays 82 games this season is if the summer olympics gets canceled before the season starts. NBC has the contract to broadcast both the NHL and the oylmpics, and the general consensus is they can't do both at the same time.
