Caps are notoriously slow starters. I'm curious to see how we fare coming out of the gate with new coach.
They pretty much have been off since last March. (ahem they were OFF for that "playoff" season last year for sure)

Haven't read any of the links.. Is this "mid Jan" proposed start for the regular season or preseason? Only a month away.. If it's for the regular season, shouldn't they be starting up preseason here soon?

It’s for regular season. There isn’t time for preseason games, they are talking about training camp being 2-3 weeks.

Venues far and wide need to be opening up.. This bullshit needs to stop. We've had a year to get a handle on this thing. 98% recover. Old sick people die.
-Nobody- gave 2 shits when 40-60k died of the flu, every fucking year. Next year we'll have 150k deaths from Covid. Well, I don't give 2 shits.. Will I go cram into a tight arena/bar/etc with a bunch of strangers? Probably not, but that's just me.. Bunch of mfr's would love to!

The reason I won't go downtown for a game anytime soon is because I don't want to get caught in the middle of a ~~riot~~ "mostly peaceful" demonstration. The covid 1984 is not a concern, as far as catching the flu goes.

We found a vaccine for that, here in Fl, years and years ago.. It's at least 95% effective and most everyone got it! CCW

The NHL will Allow?....

WTF would they NOT allow fans if the local communist governments allowed it? Like the NHL is going to say "NO...we don't want any fans at the games"?.....like the players and staff are going to catch "it" from the fans?

All I know is if they want the NHL to survive, they best get off their asses and actually have a season cause peeps is figuring out they really don't need the NHL in their lives.
