Just saw it scrolling that Marcus Johansson (Mojo) broke his arm last night. Guess he slid into the goal post? Bummer..

OV won’t be playing either because of injury. Like I said a couple games ago, they are all hurt

Carlson said he hurt his knee, Nicky hip, Oshie mid section, Samsonov (not going to worlds due to medical reasons), Ovi said he's fine and would go if "they needed him".. So far, no one thinks they'll need surgery.  So, yea, we were banged up at just the wrong time. Still seems like they could of won a shift or two, but who knows.. Just hope they (management) don't fall into the "We can still win a cup with this group" bullshit. (That's what Ovi apparently said.. But what else is he gonna say?)

Team needs a good shake up for sure. I'd feel much better loosing with younger talent, hoping they can improve, compared to old, stale, slow talent we've watched deteriorate for the last handful of years. Outside of the cup run this team and 1st round exits are just brutal disappointments..

* Ovi said he was still injured but "not that bad".. Eller, groin (not the same one from earlier in year) plus neck and shoulder.. The injury details keep coming out.

The Bruins bashed us up pretty well.  The refs let them get away with it.   The NHL let the refs get away with it.  Truly shamefull.

The old guys did pretty well today at Indy, 46 year old Castroneves won it, and looks like about half of the top ten were older than 40.

It's been said Tony George set open wheel racing back 10 years in this country when he split Indy car and CART. I tend to agree. I remember way back when I was a wee lad in Chicago, the Indy race was THE event of the year.

and that's the 4th Indy 500 win for Castroneves, the last 4 time winner was Rick Mears 30 years ago

Congrats to the old man in Indy on his 4th 500! Cup race was decent outside of Larson stinking it up. Hendrick cars have their shit together.. Still amazes me that the Xfinity series cars are harder to drive and put on a better show (Oh, and are quite a bit faster) but Nascar doesn't care. At least Kyle Bush broke up another 1-4 HMS sweep.

I used too. NASCAR creating the chase because Kenseth actually did what everyone knew was posible, winning the championship without a win but very consistent top 5-10 finishes all season, then keep dicking with the chase because all the "top talent" didn't always make it in was too much. Calling it the playoffs and adding heat racing was the final straw for me.

I remember when they'd have 50 cars show up just about every week trying to get in the field of 43, now they've cut the field to 40 because there aren't enough cars.

my brother in law graduated from the academy, a few decades ago. One of his commands was a SEAL delivery platform out of Little Creek. It was a quiet time, right before September 11, there wasn't much for him to do. He got called in one day for a mission and was very excited, the mission was taking a SEAL team 7 miles out, dropping them off and watching them swim back to shore. I've had some interesting tours over the years. The CIC doesn't get sterilized when the CO brings in a guest.

If one weren't a decades long fan, one would think this kind of excitement wasn't possible before the geniuses that run nascar created the chase...

The "Underbird"!! Wasn't a ford fan, but that an awesome season! His strategy at Atlanta that year, to gain the extra point needed to secure the championship was epic! Still remember tuning into Nascar Live (I think that's what it was called? Used to come on Tuesday night's at 7pm on the radio) and hearing about his plane crash.. Gutted! Same thing with Davey..  :'(

When Smoke came back to beat Edwards, was that in the chase era?  :raspberry: :snicker:
