I "watched" the 2009 G7 of 1st round yesterday..Caps vs Rangers.  It was on NBCSN Washington at some point recently and I taped it.  This was the game which Federov scored late in the 3rd to win the game 2-1 (turns out Federov's last playoff goal ever).  Ovie was so excited he jumped on Federov and knocked him down to the ice against the boards.  Imagine that...Caps winning a G7 playoff game.

Sadly, it wasn't the whole game live, it was most of the game, slightly abbreviated, but instead of the game's play by play, it was Joe B and Locker talking live to Matt Bradley while the game was playing.  They weren't even really following the game.  It was kind of distracting.  I would prefer to watch one or the other, not half-ass watch both at the same time.
It was actually quite annoying - you couldn't really get into the flow of the game.  They had the game on about 2/3 of the screen with live video feed of the other three stacked on the 1/3 screen from their "remote" locations.

I did not enjoy it.  I was bummed because I was looking forward to watching it.  This makes we wonder how exciting NHL games will be with no fans in attendance.

I hear Korean baseball is going to be broadcast live soon.

Now I DID watch and enjoy this weekend Game 6 and Game 7 of the Nats winning the World Series last year.  This was such an awesome playoff run.  They overcame so many little bumps in the road to accomplish this.  I wish I had them all on tape.  I only have Games 6 and 7.
Also, with it on DVR, you can skip past all the commercials and even FF 20 seconds between pitches and condense a 3+ hour game to about 75 minutes.

Also wish I had the Caps Stanley Cup run recorded.  I had several of them, but I did NOT know that DVR's auto delete items after a certain time period  :'(

Go Caps.

Go Nats.

Go....Naps.  (that's my p.c. nickname for whatever the Korean baseball league is)  :raspberry:

I watched The Pacific again, it's the companion series to Band of Brothers, apparently Nips was a common nickname given to the enemy

I was at that game, one of the most FUN times I had at a hockey game (though like most, details are fuzzy), or any sporting event I myself wasn’t playin in
When Feds (aka God), scored that, I was wearin my Fedorov jersey, backwards Tiger-hat,  and went flat out plumb nuts! I ran down from row F, made a right, and musta ran half way around the booth high fivin every one!

I forget who it was, but it was said they never heard a hockey arena that loud. . . Now that’s Caps hockey!

That's actually one thing I remember from watching this "replay"..They did ask Matt Bradley about the noise and they all commented that is was as loud as they ever heard it anywhere.
Too bad I couldn't relive any of that with this replay  >:(

So....I'm still bored.
I'm currently at work (diligently working) and "watching" 2018 Stanley Cup year run....Round 2-game 2 vs the Hens on my PC.
(BTW - much gratis to AJ for the tech assistance and originally posting (long time ago) torrent links for downloading)
Anyway, my observation as I mostly listen and partly watch the game is....NBC announcers are so obviously in favor of the Hens it is embarrassing.  I am listening and have to stop and replay things they are talking about to watch "their point of view" and it is totally biased.  I mean, we all know this, but two years later and it is disgusting how bad they are.

I realize now (way too late, and no way am I downloading 5gb files again) that I COULD have downloaded the Canadian feed for some of these games.
Actually, I think I will for one game and see how different it is.
I know I'm a homer, but man do I miss Joe B calling the games.  He is SO much better.

AND...
it's currently 2-0 Caps at the end of the 1st pd of game 2 and the Caps have 20 SOG in the 1st.

 so....

FUCK YOU PENGUINS and YOUR GAY, ASS-FUCKING, HEN-SUCKING, CROSBY-LOVING announcers.  :raspberry:

Wait, I meant, I'm "working from home" because I can't be at work violating Guvnah Blackface's stay at home order.   ;)

I must've missed something. I'm not aware of a stay at home legally binding order. I thought it was more of a suggestion, as all the friking parks are closed because it's apparently a bad thing to get excersize and old fashioned vitamin D.

Reston has padlocked all the tennis courts, not that it effects me. But come on. Meanwhile the two golf courses in Reston have never been busier, ever.

Well I didn't necessarily mean the CAPS would still be playing, but it's nice to dream  (as most long term Caps Fans have done for multiple decades)

Go Caps!

CAPS WIN AGAIN!
Caps won Game 3, now up 2-1 in the series.
Love beating those fucking Hens, and in their barn too.  When we scored it was so quiet in the arena you could hear the caps bench and guys on the ice actually hooting and hollering.  Too bad I have to listen to Penis Head the whole game...so annoying.
Not getting my hopes up, but this feels like we could actually beat the Hens in a playoff series this year. :praying:

Caps are outplaying them, getting more scoring chances.  Ovi looks determined and has pep in his step.

GO CAPS!
