MLB.com is such a pain in ass to navigate,  just like damn near every other website these days.

Anyway, the way baseball stats are tracked you'd think its very easy to find out how many pitches any one person threw in a season, but nooooooo. In Strawberries case it was somewhat easy. Find out which games he played in and pull up the box score for those two games. Strawberry threw 85 pitches in game this season. If he's not going to retire any time soon he needs to be moved to the bullpen

Thanks Alta..

So that's $102,707.75 PER PITCH this season  ($8,730,159 abbreviated salary/ 85 total pitches)

He made Soto's salary for the entire season in two pitches.

I know you can't really break it down like that, cause the guy put all the time into training camp, practice, etc, etc,  and I'm sure he'd have rather been in there throwing for 12 or 14 games or so, but.....
I broke it down like that anyway.  Over $100k per pitch.

I can't believe how under paid Soto is.

Yikes.

Leave it to the Brits.

Can't believe the DD stayed upright as long as it did and the Bendy driver was pretty much balls out.

An old friend of mine from Edinburgh sent me this audio in a text message today.  Some great personal stories of Sean Connery.

Well, some Nascar playoff drama went down in Martinsville, VA.! Harvick lost a 42 point lead, in one race, and misses going to the finale in Phoenix..

Harvick/Keselowski/Hamlin were all within 1 point of each other, on the final lap, with only room for 2 cars to advance.. Harvick dumped Kyle Busch on the last corner to try to get his needed 1 extra point. That didn't work out as he crashed himself too. Hamlin needed help from teammate Erik Jones to keep from losing his 1 point cushion. That worked. Keselowski was the safest one, at the end, with no real shenanigans needed to hold his position and advance.

Chase Elliott drove away at the end, as his only real competition (Truex) had a loose wheel and had to pit. Elliott needed to drive through the field in the last stage after a botched pitstop put him back in the field. The win automatically advance him to the final. Logano advanced by winning Kansas 2 weeks ago.

Love or hate the format, it was definitely drama! Final 4 going for this years Cup Championship in Phoenix: Logano, Elliott, Keselowski, Hamlin

the 3 vs 3 isn't my favorite thing either, but it's preferable to the old four column score sheet

I just figured out what’s wrong with that sweater, beyond the fact they are calling ‘97 “retro”. It’s the wrong shade of red and there is too much of it.
