Twice as sadly, Mick, I’m beginning to agree, and I mean as an OVERALL good team!
In the past few seasons, when they’ve had these 2nd half season slumps, we would always get several really dominant wins, sandwiched in between the low effort/complacency stuff, so as to at least give us fans a feeling that they still had the season generally under control.
But it’s starting to feel different this time. We’ve had our wins, but hardly any of them have felt like good solid wins, many of them coming from behind, or lucky wins, and so on.
The caps overall play since before Christmas can be characterized generally as more random and chaotic, with small flashes, showing themselves OCCASIONALLY, where our wins and losses are more like a coin flip than anything by design on the CAPS part!
I don’t like it. Not at all. I’m hoping for this stuff to start picking up pretty quick, but I’m not that optimistic about it, like I have been in the seasons past!
