Well if they had the same equipment but the goalies were still the cardboard cutouts of the 80s then sure. But the facts are this:
1) It is way harder to score today than it was in the 80s.
2) If Ovi played in the 80s he'd have a MUCH easier time scoring and you could argue would already surpass or be close to Gretzky's totals.
3) Gretzky would not be scoring anywhere near 800 goals if he played in today's era.
Any fucking retard who thinks otherwise just to downplay Ovechkin's accomplishments and continue to deep throat Gretzky can go fuck themselves.
