« on: Wednesday January 24, 2018, 07:53:01 PM Eastern »
A place to share your favorite and/or recommended whiskey, beer, tequilla, frozen concoctions, and any another drinks, and you’re favorite and/or recommend cigars or pipe tobaccos. . . or ones you’ve found on you’re travels

. . . or ones to stay the hell away from

Add pics, reviews, etc.

So light up a cigar and grab a drink!

Only one can start this:  Jack Daniels Sinatra Century

To celebrate the great Chairman of The Boards 100th birthday in 2015, Jack Daniels made its most limed batch ever, just 100 barrels, and no more will ever be made.  Only 24 bottles came to Maryland, and we have two of em! Lady even got the first one engraved for me (she rules!)!

Simply the greatest (non human female) thing I’ve ever tested, and bar none my favorite

Anyone who comes to our place, gets a sip of it, and has to sign the book that comes inside it. Several on here have, and many more of you need to. .  .

now see, this is just showing off
Knowledge is knowing that the Tomato is a fruit; Wisdom is knowing that you shouldn't include it in a Fruit Salad; Philosophy is wondering if a Bloody Mary counts as smoothie

Holding off on this because: The First Rule of Hopslam: Dont talk about Hopslam

This annual limited run from the great people at @BellsBrewery is one of the most sought after beers in the country, with most places limiting how many you can get per day.

I’ve been lucky this year, found two places that had it to buy, and one that didn’t limit how many (
which put us at over 10 6packs and the below mini-kegs. ;D

Now I am NOT a hoppy-beer/IPA guy at all, but this is different.  Not only do they use high end high dollar hops, but use (equally high end) honey to cut it the “dirt” taste out and leaving the natural flavor.

This IPA disliker, has turned several otheres (including Rush) onto this, so it is absolutely encouraged and endorsed. . . just don’t threaten my supply

I could be wrong but I thought Cuban cigars have been legal here for quite a few years now[/size]

Weeeellllllll. As I understand it,not completely legal.  As in your corner shop can’t order them.  I’m also not sure about what customs would do if it’s more than just a case or so.

The great people at Founders had two of thier classics on tap last trip, the first being one of my all time favs:DOOM!!
it is technically an Imperial IPA, though you can’t really tell, but is whiskey barrell aged, to highly tastey/gimmie more at over 12%, certainly not for the weak . . .

Grand Vintage Malt 1989
An inspired assemblage
For more than a century, Glenmorangie’s pure spirit was distilled within the familiar walls of our former still house. But at the end of the 1980s, desire for our fine Highland single malt whisky soared ever higher. And all at the Distillery knew that the tenure of this venerable, yet diminutive building must soon draw to a close...By 1990, Warehouse No.1, the largest of Glenmorangie’s 19th century Bonded warehouses, had been transformed into a majestic new still house, extensive enough to house further stills.  We celebrate its heritage in our Vintage Collection Bond House No. 1 – a series of rare vintage expressions, marked for greatness from their origin years. Each expression in the collection is captured in its prime by our skilful whisky creators, and deemed ready to share, only at their behest.

As I do with all announcements  of new rare and/or high end Glennmorangie, I will  revert to my inner 6 year old:
GIMMIE!! GIMMIE!! GIMMIE!! GIMMIE!! GIMMIE!! GIMMIE!! GIMMIE!! GIMMIE!!
NOW! NOW! NOW! NOW!

I just texted my dealer (technically bar manager/mixologist), to get a quote and to order . . .You guys will have to get up here to try it!

The single greatest Xmas beer you will find. .

Well worth buy the SA Winter 12 Pack just go the two included

I could only bring 3 of the big bottles back from the brewery.

They had it on tap at the brewery  and Lady had to drag me out of there like pouting kid after several hours.

This is in my top 5, maybe top 3 beers ever , the great heavy malted spiced winter ale Old Fezziwig (Frank and Bing would love it)

(Rush will love this one)

This here is called a Bait Bucket that you can find at Sharkeys in Venice FLA

It’s a Slurpee (aka Frozen Margarita from a Slurpee machine, made with Blue Carosau, Triple Sec, and a SHIT LOAD of tequila!

So much in fact they can legally only serve you two per stay (if your crafty you can get around that).  Needsles to say it’s my favorite margarita ever.

Lady likes to laugh at me for liking a “blue foo-foo drink”,  but I say “it ain’t a drink, it’s a blue raspberry Slurpee made with pure alcohol, and there ain’t nothin foo-foo about that!”
