Happy we won but the last two periods were ugly. It seemed to me that after we scored the first two goals we relaxed and really let up. Nice to see Ovie pass Mark Messier, Mike Gartner next.

Caps are going to have to play much better Sunday against the Penguins if they don’t want to be embaressed.

Like the win of course, but Caps looking like they’re playing to their opponents level, rather than dishing out THEIR game!!

In the words of the great Stevie Wonder, “Just enough, just enough, for the city”!
As fans, of course, we’re happy for the win, but are robbed of the satisfaction of also knowing we played a GOOD GAME!!

Happy for Ovi, also, and Samsonov DEFINITELY appeared to have made a few saves that you could question whether Mr Holtby would have done the same!! Sammy definitely looks confident and relaxed in the crease also!!

Another positive note is that the penalties appear to be coming down a bit!! Although the way our PP is playing, teams won’t be so reluctant to avoid committing penalties on us!

Cmon CAPS!!! Let’s have a dominant game with the HENS this Sunday!

Except for the ocassional defensive vomit in the first half I thought they played pretty well overall. The Senators were playing a fierce game and gave their all.

I sometimes wonder if I am watching the same game as some of you guys.??
I thought after the first, we were lazy and disinterested. I thought our D was pretty poor tonight and lacksadaisical. I thought we took too much for granted and we paid for it a couple of times and rightly so. Sloppy passes, no fight for the puck, loose or otherwise. Meh. Dialled it in and nearly lost it because of that attitude. That 4 minute major at the end saved our skins.
Well, not Eller's, obviously....

HUGELY happy for and about Ovi.
