Pretty decent effort from the fellas all around.
Well....except for the power play. Yeah, we got one, but 1 for 6 is not good, and moreover the other PP's were pretty pathetic. (hate when my PP is pathetic)

Glad to see Sammy get a shutout, and he was pretty damn sharp the whole game. One goofy lucky play that probably should have scored, but sometimes it bounces your way. His play has been pretty damn terrific this whole year. Got to give the kid some more games. Nothing against Holtby, but Sammy is 13-2 in 15 starts with .925 save % and 2.11 GAA. How do you justify NOT playing a guy with these numbers regardless of who your other net minder is and his numbers? BTW those figures put him 2nd in the entire NHL in GAA and 7th in save %. Yeah, yeah, small sample size...well every game he plays the sample size increases and the numbers continue to get better.
Holtby has now dipped to .899 save % and 3.02 GAA. Those are pretty horrible numbers for an elite goalie. Those figures put him 54th out of 79 goalies in save % and 47th out of 79 in GAA. (that's NOT good)
I would expect Holtby will get the next start either way, but hope Sammy gets one of the next two and like to see him get half the remaining games. I don't think it will happen.
