They do not have that tape on the mics any other night.
I was thinking that it appears they are not that much into the Pride Night thing and the subdued and barely visible rainbow tape allows them to show some support without blaring it in everyone's face.  They can now say, "See, we put this tape on our mics."
I see it as the beginning of the push back against all the assaults on normalcy.

I guess, I didn't see the entire mic, just the blue and green, and they don't match the pride colors

Both use the rainbow colors and are very similar. Of course, the LBGTxxx rainbow uses more vivid versions of the rainbow colors than the NBC peacock.
I noticed that although the Caps said "select players" would have rainbow tape on their sticks during warmups I did not see a single player with rainbow tape. Probably because Holts was not on ice.  It seems no one else cared for it. :thumbsup:


Times are a changing . . .  BACK!
I believe the 2020's will see a return to some normalcy.
