Did you hear Leonsis last week saying he fully expects Ovie and Backy to never play for another team their entire careers and wants the two of them to remain ambassadors for the Capitals after they retire. I paraphrase, but that's basically what he said.

Yep, I heard it. Encouraging this day and age. Ovi may not be worth $10m/yr on the ice in years to come, but he has certainly been the face of the franchise and fulfilled the Cup destiny here. NOT THAT WE ARE THROUGH with just the one, but it would be nice to see him play here his whole career. He's worth the 10m in marketing and to the NHL. Ted should get a kickback from the league on Ovi's salary 8) or at least a reduction in his cap hit.
