The Caps are a lot more competitive than I thought after the break. And Holtby is playing well.

He must have a lot of additional responsibility and a lot to make up for with this younger and not particularly “defense first” DCorps.


We’ve seen this happen with veterans we sign or acquire before, so I’m hoping he’s not “checking out” mentally

I agree,  playing much better than what I thought although at the end of the period they seemed to run out of gas.  I will gladly take a tie after one period.
