FINAL: 5-2 WSH
- Nic Dowd returns.
- Stephenson slots in for Hagelin who's out with upper body injury and is day-to-day.
- Tom Wilson and the team owe cheapshot Ryan Reaves payback for blindsiding Wilson the last time they played, which got Reaves ejected. Reaves notoriously began selling souvenir photos of the dirty hit.
- Nate Schmidt said he was working with the NHLPA and NHL to get Performance Enhancing Drugs testing standards changed. He still claims he was innocent when banned last year for 20 games after being accused of using PED. Note that knights' 7-Valentin Zykov was just banned for 20 games for same.

So, do we see a Wilson/Reaves bout tonight?? :cross:
ArJunaZ:
I know we deservedly ragged on 714-Carlson in the past, but I think he has earned a huge reprieve with his tremendous improvement and recent excellent play. I would not lay the high goals against on him. I would much rather him contribute to the rush and be the offensive powerhouse he has become than worry about an opponent occasionally beating him. I've been watching other games in the league and a couple days ago I watched the Caps playing in the first round last year against the Canes. I was stunned at how slow the Caps looked last year, even when they won. The differences we are seeing this year in speed and skill is quite amazing. Props to the entire team, including Rierden and his assistants.
Kempny is on a tear too. Shit! The whole team seems to be exploding in a great way.
