I know I’m going out on a limb here, but the Caps suck at 3 on 3 now.
Caps sure are going to have a lot more OTL in their record with the 3 on 3
Have we gone to a shootout this year?

Well that was a great game...until it sucked


1). Ovi looked great (for most of the game)
2. Holt by looked great (for most of the game)
3. Caps were the better team most of the game but started that coasting crap with 10 minutes left.


Why the F is Ovi on the ice with 1 minute left on a 5 on 6?  Cause they trying to get him the ENG Hattie INSTEAD of securing a win.


Why the f did they not call icing multiple times on the oilers when it was icing
How the f did oilers not get called for too many men on the ice about five friggin times in the third period alone


Pretty well played 46 minutes of hockey. Needed about 47


Pretty much new it was over with 3 on 3. When Backy couldn’t wrap it I knew it was coming for sure

Rich, that is ONE OF THE BEST ASKED QUESTIONS OF THIS SEASON!!!! (so far).


There is NOTHING in the historic, and unrivaled talent repertoire, that he possesses, that would JUSTIFY him being on the ice during this unique time period!! Nothing!!!

Holts played a great game, he's the only reason the game went to OT, if it were a lesser goalie out there the Oilers would've won by 3 in regulation. The 3 vs 3 format is designed for breakaways and ending the game quickly, and the Oilers have the speed to take advantage, that's a good team up there, I won't be surprised when they win a Cup in the next few years

This team has choked away four multi-goal 3rd period leads.  They should probably be 11-1.  One huge problem is the Orlov-Jensen pairing.  They're a -17.  Something has to be done about that.

Agreed1  Also, why did Rierdon keep putting the Backstrom Ovi line out there in the last 5 minutes when McDavid's line was out there?  I realize the home coach gets the last change, but Rierdon should have limited the Backstrom Ovi line. Or, he could have modified the line to pull Ovi and put in a defensive forward.  We were lucky McDavid didn't score about 4 times.
