I was thinking the same thing earlier this game as well as last game. Ovie has uncharacteristically whiffed a hell of a lot on the most basic passes and shots.

They've led after 2 in every game and are 2-3. Play in our own end was especially horrible tonight. Outside maybe Jensen and Gudas, the defense sucked. Holtby looked like crap. Sit his ass the next couple games.

Holtby doesn't seem much better than a $4-5 million goalie, which is why I hope the Caps don't pay him $10 million and just let him go. We need to stop putting him on a pedestal because his Vezina caliber seasons were thanks to Mitch Korn. Mitch Korn can take pretty much any goalie and turn him elite, but once that magic leaves the goalie turns into an average joe again.
