A 4 on 3 PP is a much better opportunity that the standard power-play because you have much more time and space!


 We needed a goal right then! When did fucking Carlson become an Ovechkin type sniper?
 I know they tried it last year on the power play a few times, without much success actually, but damn Rierden, try that freaking crap in the middle of a game, when we have a lead, NOT for a damn game winner!!

WE started off really great, then totally lost focus in the 2nd, then ran out of gas in the 3rd.
I was expecting fireworks and fights tonight.  Damp squib.  If we would have put some more deent hits on them, I think we would have rattled them and I thinkk we would have won.
Sad end.

Still.  We got 1 point out of a back to back, so maybe not as bad as it first looks.  I still can't help feeling a little disappointed though.

Agreed that early on we got fucked a couple times at least, then a couple of non-calls for blatant penalties. It's the NHL and WE KNOW this is the norm, especially when it comes to the Capitals getting the shaft.

Zebras or no zebras there's no excuse for blowing a 2 goal 3rd period lead.. Much less to these fucking chumps! Wilson's either hurt or has gone soft. 3 games and I've barely noticed him. They add 2 supposed tough guys and start playing some pansy ass footsie style.. Oh well, fuck it.. We Carolina's bitch!!

We did not see one tenth the intensity in this game as these two teams displayed in the final preseason game against each other. Did not expect that at all.

Some of the positives, however, after 3 games:


1) Some good early, and consistent hustle, especially from the FNG’s! (I love that acronym, thanks Houston!)
2) More puck firing at the net, with less cutesy crap and over passing, than before!
3) Defense seems to be able to react just a bit quicker to things, overall!
4) Even though it was only one game, I liked what I saw out of Samsonov.
5) Kuzy WHO?? (C’mon Kuzy! Ya gotta bring it NOW, not later! You had ZILCH of a preseason, when you should’ve had your afterburners on early!)

I remember reading/seeing about his earlier career.  Seems to be rinse and repeat so far.
ie: rising star,  superstar,  crash and burn.   Move.



He's reminding me more and more of Semin and Burro.

NOT my intention at all, to knock the ref haters here, as either way you wanna look at it, whether the standard is the refs are permanently against us, or NOT, Our Capitals have been a winning organization, including a Stanley Cup in recent history, and they’ve seemed to always find a way to win, BIG, even if you believe the refs have always been against us.


Again, no problem with that opinion, although I don’t agree with it, but either way they didn’t find that way to win tonight!!
A BIG 0/6, on their PP tonite, would be another great reason for the loss! Just sayin!
