The Cold Weather

(1/1)

alta:
got back in from walking the dog, now I remember why I didn't have much sex on ski trips, it's an absolute pain in the ass to undress from cold weather, and tonight is a warm 20*F

Maacoshark:
Trust me it could be worse. We just went through a couple cold spells with temperatures between -35fand -40f and windchills around -50. We have some of the widest temperature ranges in the world.

Hey Maaco!
We here in the DC area experienced that cold spell as well, and thought WE had it bad! I remember during the cold spell here, (maybe  9°F as an overnight low), I was watching our local news and even THEY were commenting about the SEVERE cold in ALBERTA. I think we ended up getting the effect of that weather system, (I believe they actually call it an Alberta clipper)! I know there are a lots of flat prairies/grasslands in that whole Alberta region, all the way east into Saskatchewan, I believe, (you’ll know better), and I thought that at least we have the trees, here, to break up the wind a bit! I can handle the colder temps, it’s the winds over 15-20mph, that make chilled to the bone!
Although maybe easy for me to say, as I’ve never experienced weather below -15f or so!!

I've experienced sub zero Fahrenheit before, it isn't bad if you've acclimated to it for a few weeks, and there isn't much(any) wind

Here's some crazy weather stats in Canada and Regina.
Highest recorded temperature in a major Canadian city 43.3c (110f) city of Regina
Lowest recorded temperature in a major Canadian city -50.0c (-58f) city of Regina
Even though Regina has to lowest recorded temp of a major Canadian city. Winnipeg's average temp is slightly cooler. What I am saying is that is fricken sucks here.
