One reason I was hoping we didn't make playoffs was firstly the crap efforts that seems to happen too often. Second, is my Dad is coming to visit for a week on the 19th April. I haven't spent any time with him in decades where we were not busy as hell on a project, so we never really had any down time together. He's not a hockey fan at all, but he did say he would sit through a few games with me. He'll be 80 this year and I want to make the most of this time, but I also can't miss a Caps playoff game. Unless I feel we have a shot at going all the way it's hard to care so much. I have a hard time rooting for the kind of play I've seen lately. I definitely don't have the rock solid confidence I had last year.

All right folks someone said I wasn’t posting on here so here look I posted I am logging in yay ! ;)
So I had the fortunate opportunity to be in North Carolina at the time the CAPS happen to be playing tonight so when I found out I drove two hours from where I was knew that I was going to miss my flight so I decided to get a ticket to tonight‘s game and this was my first time seeing the caps play at this arena.
This was pretty crazy considering that there was probably an even amount of caps fans with canes fans and to be honest when they started doing their cheer you couldn’t tell whether they were saying let’s go capitals or let’s go canes.
Sat 2 rows away, lost my voice, wore my lucky Simon black jersey, had a blast. Now I get up in 4 hrs and get on a plane, oh the joys of traveling 85% of the yr for work.
