I am not sure what the refs were watching when they ruled no goal.  It clearly would have been a goal if the goalie didn’t throw his stick so it had to be ruled a goal.  It was a strange game, although I thought our top two lines did not have a good game, did not generate anything.  I will take the two points.

Typical refs being idiots. I honestly wasn't aware that it was a rule, but if you told me that the rule is that a goal is awarded if a goalie throws his stick, even I of absolutely 0 NHL refereeing experience could have told you that was clearly a thrown stick and Ovi had nothing to do with where the stick ended up and that it should be a goal. All I'd need to make that call is eyes and a brain. Guess the refs have neither.

Fun game to watch. Thought we could have won that one about 5 - 2.  Our third and 4th lines played really well.


We have to get Orlov fixed. Sit him for two games, let him watch from the pressbox.  Then they can get his confidence back up before the playoffs.
