If I were him I'd renounce my All-Star game status.  You give up 18 goals in the last 10 periods and you should be fucking embarrassed to go out there with the All Star players.

Let's see -- it's just about the right time for all the Washington apologists to start in with the "they've played too much hockey -- they are just dead tired" crap.  Let's see what Rierdon says tonight -- "we really need this break -- we played so much more hockey than the other teams and we've had a demanding schedule.  That winning the Cup really sucks."

It's not that they've had a misstep -- they've dropped off the face of the fucking earth.  Who goes 0-5-2 with this talent and being the Cup defenders?  We seem to be back to the days of no confidence and looking scared to play hockey.  I thought we shed that shit last year.

Last point before the All-Star break.  Thank God the Caps won the Cup last year.  We have the good fortune to watch the greatest goal scorer of our generation, and perhaps all time, day in and day out and it would have been an absolute shame for him to never have had the chance to skate the Cup.  I think from what we are seeing right now that last year was the year and it's not gonna happen again in his career.  I'm just glad for the guy and for his place in hockey history that he got one last year.  As painful as this current iteration is to watch, they can't take last year away from Ovi or from us.
