He was out at the end of a shift and just skated all the way behind the net.  He scored a hattie.  How the fuck could you put any of that on him?

My point is Ovie was out there to long at the end of the game just to het an empty netter, and he was 15 feet away from the goal as time was running out and Kane was left alone at his side of the net to tie it.   
Then, tired in OT, he was the last man back on D.
I didn’t say it was all on him - plenty of blame to go around, but the selfishness of trying to get an empty netter cost us.

If they can't figure out how to play any defense and kill of penalties they have absolutely no shot at catching the Isles, Jackets and Pens.  All 3 of those teams are decent, solid teams and we can't keep teams under 7.  What a fucking joke this team has turned into.  How you go from a Stanley Cup winner to a laughingstock is beyond me.  Only fucking Ted could be so cheap as to let the proven coach walk.  What a fucking idiot.

Team D sucked, but his glove failed him at least 4 times tonight.  When you are struggling you need your stars to step up.  Ovie had a hat trick.  Holtby didn't give them the game they needed.

So whatever scheme that allows Ovie is be so far from the net and effectively turn it into a 6-4 with mere seconds left is assanine.  Ovie isn’t excused from realizing that time is drawing to an end and it would be better for him to actually be guarding the crease than trying to get an empty netter.   


So now you’re argument is a: Rierden made him stay out there for over 2 minutes at the end of the game and b: he is absolved from guarding the crease as time runs out because that isn’t our defensive scheme.   Ok, if you say so.


I’ll say it again - he isn’t the only reason we lost - got it?
