The best thing I have to say about this game is that the Caps are being patient. Patient waiting for their asses to get in gear.
Last year we learned a valuable lesson when we began crashing the net and scoring dirty goals. Why on earth have we not had any effort to do this lately? nothing else is working.

I don't see how we will fare any better against the Preds tomorrow.

Well, just another night of shitty hockey in the nation's capital. We had better start to turn this ship around or we are going to be fighting our asses off to make the playoffs. We won't win in Nashville tomorrow because we NEVER play well against the Preds. PIT, CBJ and NYI are all winning a lot of games. We've got Kuzy, Eller, DSP and a bunch of other turds who look like the couldn't give a rats ass what's going on. Better start to shake it up, Todd, or you are going to be known as the coach that took a Stanley Cup winner and couldn't get back to the playoffs. Power play sucks -- penalty kill sucks -- last in the league in faceoffs. We won last year because of attention to special teams and details. We are doing NONE of those things right now. Ugly fucking hockey night after night just ain't gonna get it done.

At this point all I can really root for is Ovechkin hitting 50+ goals and winning another Rocket and therefore getting closer and closer to reaching Gretzky. Honestly Ovi has a better chance of achieving that than this shit team's chances of getting past the 1st round this year.
