So you see the pond hockey your so in love with has not won us 5 cups? That you did some analysis and saw we hadn’t been past the second round in 20 years? During that time we won three Presidents Trophies, without getting past the second round. Yet, they do it once against players and coaches that have beat them regularly, and assume it’s the result of talent and style and not an anomaly?
You just like your entertainment, and have little awareness about the game.

Well DC if you want to get technical. We didnt win a cup playing pond hockey. We were definitely a pond hockey during most of the regular season but the playoffs we a very different system. It was defensive play, goaltending and hitting that won us the cup. We played the game the way it was meant to be played.

I think DC would admit that the Caps are playing well. We are still giving up way too many high danger chances.
Not as bad lastnight. The Sens had some good looks early but as the game went on the majority of shots came from the outside. The game against Buffalo we had no business winning. There have been a fair amount of those games this season.
Right now we are winning most of our games just because we have better talent. We aren't winning because we are playing a structured system.
