I agree, there is something amiss here.  The Blackhawks are actually doing okay and does not warrant a firing.  I read comments that suggested he and Bowman did not get along and when the draft was held in Chicago in 2017 he didn’t even attend the draft and that is when Bowman trade Panarin to Columbus.

Admittedly, I haven’t followed any of the history, subtle or otherwise, leading up to today’s firing. Seemed a bit out of the blue, considering the record. With his 3 Stanley’s since 2010, normally you’d cut that caliber of a coach, a little slack! I mean, a record like 3-12, 2-12, maybe?
Seems more like some personality, or ego stuff, makes it more plausible. Again, don’t have much info, but was quite surprised to hear it!
