Carlson has been great all season, but THAT really sucked. In fact, most of the play by our boys tonight has been uninspired. A good third and they can still grab the points, but so far they have looked like they don't really care all that much.

They have been using that drop pass on the pp for awhile now. It was only a matter of time before it cost us. Hopkins knew it was coming and waited for it. Poor decision by Carlson. I dont like the play to begin with. That's on coaching as well.

It's a copycat league. Most of the teams use that because it allows the "slingshot" and a player building up a lot of speed to do a solo entry into the attacking zone. The Caps don't need it. Like the Oilers with McDavid, Kuzy can do it just by taking the puck end to end.

this was a problem a couple years ago, the linesman kept dicking around dropping the puck as if they were trying to effect the outcome of the faceoff. Looks like it's happening again.
