Ovie  Backy Willy:  +2

Vranna Kuzy Oshie:  +17

Hags Eller Panik:  +13

Lepper Dowd Hathy:  +6

(these figures are a SUM of the players' +/- on each line, NOT the average)

Well it IS the boredom thread.  Just thought peeps might overlook the third line defensive responsibilities.  And yes, I DO realize these lines change and that skews the figures.

Jensen is currently a -9 and Mr Norris is +19

Little surprised Johhny Q Norris is only +19.  He has 45 points in 33 games, so apparently he lacks in the defensive defensemen area a bit  (man do I miss what's his name - the Canadian guy who loved to stroke Johhny and ALWAYS came to his defense no matter what.  He would be going bonkers with me even hinting at the fact the JQDN is NOT the best defensman on the team...league...planet)

But remember, PP points do NOT add to the + however PK points DO add to the - <----a pk unit gets a + while the PP unit gets a - when the PK unit scores however a pp unit does NOT get a + and the PK does NOT get a - when a PP unit scores

Johnny Norris with alot of PP points maybe?

--- Quote ---Plus-Minus[/B]A player is awarded a "plus" each time he is on the ice when his Club scores an even-strength or shorthanded goal. He receives a "minus" if he is on the ice for an even-strength or shorthanded goal scored by the opposing Club. The difference in these numbers is considered the player's "plus-minus" statistic.

The funny part is that "Yang" has dedicated her CAREER to the study of the fluid mechanics of bodily functions like urination and defecation"

Really?  Dedicated a career to this?

I bet she is a real hoot to party with.

Yes probably so, but the PK points against would surely be nearly zero so that's not gonna be a real factor.  Basically you'd get a minus if you were on the ice and the other team scored a shorty.  That happens like 5 times a year maybe?

I looked it up.  Caps have given up 2 SHG this year.  No idea if Carlson was on for those.  Likely for at least one I'd say as he is a main PP guy.

Carlson has 14 PP points, so those don't affect the +/-
He has 45 total points so 31 points at even strength

He is a +19 with 31 Even strength points.  Don't know if that's really a measure of anything....other than he scores alot, for which I am grateful

By the way, my original post was not a knock on JQNC defensive abilities...I just thought leading the team in points that his +/- would be better.  But then, the Caps do give up their share of goals so....meh.
He IS leading the team in +/- so....

He is having a great year....

offensively  :P
