We got up at 5am, left by 6am, got there in front of the stage by 7am and got pretty good spots in front of the stage. Let's just say that more than 95% of the sea of red was behind us.  They had great tunes and the fans as usual were classy fans and all in great spirits.
There was one girl with a sign about her 25th birthday that want to kick in the teeth.  Oblivious that there were a half million people behind her kept holding that tall sign high above her head begging for autographs. She totally blocked my chances at clear photos with move . A lot of people were cursing her with me being loudest. I thought she would have stopped and when she got tired she had her friend hold it high. nothing I can't stand than oblivious people that have no consideration for others. Well, maybe expect for politicians that try to ride the Caps wave, like DC Mayor Muriel Bowser. When they announced her name I instantly screamed out the most powerful "Booooooo" I could muster and everyone followed my lead. It was awesome!

Caps were still on the Thursday night Bender.  Watching the Caps on stage as they got recognized individually I loved the raw display of Craziness and the non-stop Alcoholic bender.

I sore and sick, but we had a blast.  It was a staggering even. I believe that the fact that the Caps had such a tremendous response to winning cup, especially today, that it will sure add more motivation for the team next year. The estimated I keep hearing is more than 600,000 people attended today. It sure looked like it.

I need to recover before I can offload and convert some  images to share.

Thanks for the recap!  Can't seem to escape the one idiot who has no manners, no matter what the event.  As for invited speakers, I was actually thinking that I was relieved that there were not more windbag politicians on stage...you know, DC Council, Governor of VA, Governor of MD, blah, blah blah.  Thank goodness.  Looking forward to your images!

Wow, judging from my post last night I was obviously in rough shape. I am dead today.  What a blast it was. Hockey Gods let us have the cup and the Gods gave us the best possible weather for the parade. I'm just about to start sorting through my photos and videos.

I am also going to post a thread with .ZIP file for those with Windows PC's to greatly facilitate downloading the playoff games using peer-to-peer networking.

ArJunaZ:
Here's a video of the Introduction of the Caps on Stage.  It's a 4K 60fps video, the resolution keeps increasing as YouTube processes it. It's finally at 1080p60fps and I'm hoping they process it all the way to 4k.
