that's nice, even though it shouldn't have gone that far.

The other way is to use the modify on the lower right and just remove the font code

I think I may know why some people are having issues with the font formatting code. I'm guessing they may be formatting text (changing size, color, etc) and then editing, copying, pasting, or otherwise moving the text around. This can maybe split the code due to grabbing (unseen) formatting code and moving it, which can cause it to be divided and placed out of sequence. The best thing is to type your message and then the very last thing you do is format the text. If you follow this procedure I can't imagine having any problems. Look at my OP on the GDT's. I have tons of formatting and no issues.
EDITED TO ADD:
OK, here's a long and short version of what I did to figure this out.
Short version:
I just saw the issue where the code fragments came up after some crazy editing and pasting. It happened when I clicked on the toggle view button twice. I imagine if I had posted it at that point it would have displayed the code fragments, but what I did was simply click on the toggle view button two more times and it cleared everything up . So maybe those that are having this issue can simply click toggle view button twice and then post after the code get's properly organized.
BOTTOM LINE: If you see your post is screwed up then simply "Modify" your post by clicking on "Modify", then click the toggle view button twice. This should clear up the funky code fragments. It did for me. Then "Save" your post again. I have reproduced this (still not sure how) a few times and each time it is resolved by following the procedure I just outlined.
Long version: (What I did to test and some explanation of how it works)
Try clicking on the toggle view button if you need to edit. This way you can see the formatting code and make sure you are not splitting up the code. As you can see each formatting element has an open tag and and end tag, for instance [tag] and [/tag]. If you edit your post and these get out of order or half of a tag pair gets deleted or out of sequence then you get into trouble. Tags must be in the proper sequence. If you have one tag pair is must be contained within any other tag pairs. You must close a tag out before close out any other tags that encapsulate it.
For instance:
This is good
[bold] This is Bold Text [italics] this is italics and bold text [/italics][/bold]
and will appear as
This is Bold Text this is italics and bold text
This is not good
[bold] This is Bold Text [italics] this is italics and bold text [/bold][/italics]
and will appear as
This is Bold Text this is italics and bold text [/italics]
Note: I did not use proper tag names in the examples or else they would be acted on by the server. Bold is usually just the letter "b" in brackets and italics is usually just the letter "i" in brackets. The closing tag is the same tag in bracket only preceded by the "/"
ETA
Actually, the system fixed my intentional screw up after I posted it and flipped the tags into the proper order, so maybe it takes some more serious screwing around with posts to mess it up.

Seriously, I tried every which way to screw it up and the system very intelligently reformatted everything so that it worked perfectly. If someone can tell me the process they used and can replicate a problem I will be happy to hear about it and try to understand what can be done about it. I just mixed all font types, formats, and colors and cut and paste randomly and it all came out OK except for the text size seemed a bit random. This is easily fixed by simply grabbing it all and resizing. I have yet to be able to create the problem where you can see the code fragments in the post.
UPDATE:
I just saw the issue where the code fragments came up after some crazy editing and pasting. It happened when I clicked on the toggle view button twice. I imagine if I had posted it at that point it would have displayed the code fragments, but what I did was simply click o n the toggle view button two more times and it cleared everything up . So maybe those that are having this issue can simply click toggle view button twice and then post after the code get's properly organized.

It happenes every time you try to paste text. Sometimes I will type something on notepad and copy/paste here. Or when I copy/paste an article. I always have to go back in and fix the tags when doing that. Every single time. I just assumed it was because I'm using my over rated Icrap products.

I paste text all the time in my GDT OP and I do not have that problem. I do sometimes have to change the carriage returns to get proper line spacing. In any case, if you see the formatting codes in your post then try using my procedure under "Bottom Line" in my previous post and it should clear those up. I have managed to create the problem a few times and it is always cleared up by using that simple procedure.
Here it is again:
