This is typical Caps...out hustle and out play the opponent for 30 minutes and don't score on 30 shots, then let up for a minute and other team scores. I guess that is what happens when they are just better than you.
These boards are so negative st playoff time...No heart, no sack,etc but the Caps out worked a more talented team for a better part of the game. We handed them two goals. One on total dumb couple of plays (Bura, Kempny) and one in PP on a dumb penalty. Tampa is a talented team and they took advantage of our mistakes.
We outplayed them and had better scoring chances.
We ised up all our puck luck in the first two games.
Please sit Bura. He is Not a fourth line player. He is a liability on any line. I would rather have Chaison on 4th line as he is at least hitting guys. Maybe Bura is hurt but I'm done with him. He is not helping and definitely hurting our chances.

Gotta love the kid on Caps Overtime. He appears to be 15 years old, 16 tops, and he claims he's been a Caps fan for 17 years. I understand some of us come out rocking the red, but that was funny.

But Bearakowski really needs to sit. He was absolutely awful. He is a total waste on the fourth line. Someone else said it, but that just handicaps what is supposed to be a checking line.
I'm also giving Bura some of the credit for Kempny shit pass that led to 1st goal. Bura knocked that back into zone and forces Kempny into that pass with Tsmoa moving in with speed.
WHY bring that back in Bura?

I think most people here agree with you. You are right about Bura bringing the puck back in his own end. He made a few mistakes in all zones. And he gets knocked off the puck too easily.

This loss is still bothering me today. A game that we outplayed the Lightning and should have won. Their pp is killing us. We have to figure that it or stay out of the box (Eller). I know we technically killed off the last penalty but they scored before Eller could get involved in the play. I still consider that a pp.
Burakovsky was bad in that game. He hasn't been good since he returned from injury. We areca better team without him. I don't understand how he is in the lineup. DC must be right. This has to be a management decision. If we can all see how much of a liability he is then Trotz certainly sees it. I'm sure if its was entirely Trotzs decision, Bura would be scratched.
