At least they are calling it the Virginia Nationals now, when VMP first opened it was the Richmond Nationals, in Dinwiddie

Not to Dimwitty, but way back I went to one in PA with my stepdad, but if I recall correctly . . . The cool down area could pass a regular road thar wasn’t closed off.

When you are walking the pits between rounds and the top fuel guys are test firing, Make sure the wind is at your back. Nitro Methane used to be rocket fuel, acts like tear gas in an internal combustion engine, it's always easy to spot the noobs, they are as close as they can get and within seconds will have to leave with tears pouring down their faces. That's the best part about drag races, general admission lets you walk the pits, only motor sport to do so
