I'll try to discuss on a more serious note. I don't think any of us expected the Caps to win 2 in Tampa, but they did it. We all felt great. We were coming home with the opportunity to put our foot on Tampa's throat and all, but end the series. The Caps not only failed to do so, but looked pretty flat in doing so. Had we lost a 3-2 hard fought game in OT it'd be easier to deal with then going down into a 3-0 hole. Now the pressie back on the Caps to win game 4. Do you honestly think Tampa will lose ANOTHER game at home in game 5?

Do you remember the Tampa series when Jagr was here? We won games 1 & 2 in Tampa and then proceeded to lose 4 straight to be taken out in 6.

We didn't EXPECT a sweep, but the Caps had all the momentum and the opportunity and failed. We will see who they are tonight. If they allow Tampa to tie this series then I believe Tampa will also win game 5 at home because they won't lose 3 in a row there and then the Caps will be demoralized in game 6.

That's my opinion based off this teams history. It's up to them to prove me wrong.

I agree.   Despite claims to the contrary, the players know this team's history in the playoffs.  Many of them have been part of past failures.  Tonight is the whole ball of wax.  If the Caps lose, they'll go out in 6 games.  TB will have all the confidence and momentum and Games 1 & 2 will be a distant memory.  No way we come back from giving up home ice after getting a two game cushion.  I must say, having seen every playoff series ever played by the Caps, that I'm not confident about tonight.  These games always seem to follow a similar script and they rarely ever turn out well.  Vegas showed how to come out and play at home last night.  It was all out attack until they got worn down a bit in the 3rd period.  The Caps must play in the TB end and stay out of the penalty box.

I gotta add, there is no way this team beat the Hens without the young blood/fresh attidudes. Which adds credence to the pessimism... yet we all continue to come back for more heart ache.

This team has vastly out performed all expectations for this season, on every level. If they didn’t make it to the final round there isn’t anything we should be overly upset about. I don’t read other teams boards but I’d imagine Bolts fans were thinking the same things after G1 and G2.

KitFisto:
7-0  this shot is over. Told you so.

KitFisto:
7 and fucking 0
